A comparision of the past/present and native/exotic sides of conservation come to life through activities such as archery, wild animal capture and tracking techniques, handmade games and instruments, cooking, guided wildlife tour, and nature hikes. July 10 - Photography Tour - The Photography Tours are 4-hours and will let the photographer catch the dawn light, which is the best light possible for photos. The tours will be conducted from 6 am till 10 am during July and August due to the Texas summer heat. The tours will go through Fossil Rim’s ~1700 acre pastures and will be lead by an experienced guide.  There are 59 species of animals here at Fossil Rim. Some of the animals that may be photographed are white rhinoceros, blackbuck, European red deer, gemsbok, zebra, addax, waterbuck, giraffe, sable antelope, axis deer, and addra gazelle, just to name a few.  Please call our Reservation Information Office at: 254-897-2960 to make your reservation. (Camera Club members can receive a 10% discount). Private tours are also available for an additional fee.
